No wild birds are visiting my feeder?

I’ve changed the type of feed I use and the wild birds have stopped visiting the feeder?
Q-

I’ve replaced my feeder with a new one and the wild birds aren’t feeding from it?
Q-

I have a new feeder that is a different colour from the last one and it’s not being used?

These are very common questions and all have the same answer. Just be patient…
Wild birds can be very curious/nervous and on occasion can take several weeks and sometimes months to accept change in their environment. Once they lose their fear they won’t stop using the feeder.

Q-

The birds visiting my garden aren’t eating all of the feed - they appear to be discarding some?
A-

Believe it or not they have tastes similar to us, if they realise that they will be fed premium feeds as well as a more standard blend then they will choose what they prefer.
